A digital school-records platform for sensitive education workflows
Project description
Akteo is a digital school-records platform. The startup wanted to move student records, documents and administrative workflows into a web-based product and needed support beyond implementation: brand direction, product structure, UX, UI and technical delivery had to work together.
Target state
The goal was a platform that can structure sensitive education data in a secure and understandable way. Schools and providers should be able to find information faster, follow processes more clearly and manage documents centrally. At the same time, the product had to feel credible enough for institutional buyers.
Challenges
School records require clear roles, permissions and traceability. A digital record cannot be just a file folder in the browser. It has to connect master data, documents, history, responsibilities and workflows in a way that is useful in everyday administration. The product also needed a visual and structural language that made a young platform easy to explain.
Implementation
We supported Akteo from product definition through implementation. Together with the startup team, we sharpened the brand direction, defined core flows and implemented the platform in Next.js. German hosting, role-based access and a clean data model were treated as product requirements, not as later technical details.
Outcome
The result is a published platform with a clear product foundation for digital school administration. Akteo received a credible visual identity, a structured first version and a technical base that can support further school-administration workflows.
