Fantasy tennis as a playable mobile product
Project description
Tentasy is a Hamburg startup with the idea of bringing fantasy sports to tennis. Unlike classic results apps, the product should create an active game experience: users build teams, follow tournaments, compare decisions and experience tennis as a seasonal fantasy game.
Our task was the complete app design. Together with the team, we developed the brand direction, product structure, central user flows and a consistent mobile interface.
Target state
The goal was an app that connects sports data, competition and community so tennis remains engaging between matches. Users should not only see results, but make decisions, weigh risks and follow their progress.
Challenges
Fantasy sports live from clear rules. If scoring, transfers, rankings or tournament logic feel too complex, the product quickly loses momentum. At the same time, enough depth is needed for the app to remain interesting across multiple tournaments. Balancing those two needs was the central design task.
Implementation
We structured the app along the most important game moments: onboarding, team building, tournament overview, matchday, ranking and profile. The design system combines sports energy with clear information architecture. Complex decisions were broken down into small mobile interactions so users quickly understand what they can do and what their choices mean.
Outcome
The result is a complete app design that makes Tentasy tangible as a digital product. The startup received a basis for development, investor conversations, user testing and launch preparation.
