Sustainable AI chat with transparent impact
Project description
Verda is an AI chat app with a sustainability focus. The product should show what impact AI usage can have and how part of that impact can be handled more consciously through traceable investments, for example in tree planting. At the same time, the app needed smart routing for different LLMs with a European focus on privacy and provider logic.
Target state
The goal was an AI product that does more than provide answers. It should frame usage more responsibly. Users should be able to chat while the system selects suitable models in the background and makes sustainability aspects visible.
Challenges
AI apps can feel interchangeable when they simply wrap a chat window around a model. For Verda, model routing, UX, impact communication, privacy and launch readiness had to come together. The sustainability message could not feel like marketing; it had to be understandable and concrete inside the product.
Implementation
We supported the project end to end: product structure, design, development, submission and launch support. Chat was designed as the central usage experience, while routing logic, impact display and settings carry the product differentiation. The app was prepared so additional models and providers can be integrated later.
Outcome
The result is an AI chat app that connects utility with responsibility. Verda offers a concrete chat use case, makes sustainability aspects visible and has a technical structure that supports model changes and further product development.
